Robert Matson

Bob Matson has been developing the careers of Engineering professionals in the Aerospace Industry for over 25 years. In his capacity as Engineering Manager, Director and Vice President for a diverse group of Aerospace Companies, Bob has helped over 100 engineers and technical professionals develop themselves and their careers. Bob fully understands the challenges that a logical, technical mind faces when taking on the added roles of manager, leader and mentor. He has developed a proven skill set that has been shown time and again to be effective in creating top performing engineering talent.

 

Bob has worked for over 35 years as an engineer and manager in the aerospace industry for US Airways, Pratt & Whitney as well as Aircraft and Engine Lessors. He is an active author with several published papers on aircraft design as well as Engineering Education. He is also an accomplished speaker giving talks at a large number of aerospace industry conferences. Bob is a noted teacher of a Short Course for the University of Kansas as well as the AIAA.

 

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University. His coach training includes a certificate in Executive and Business Coaching from San Diego State University. He has also attended the Coaches Training Institute in addition to several seminars and workshops to develop excellent coaching skills. Bob is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Qualified.

 

Bob brings a wealth of pragmatic knowledge to the coaching profession. He effectively mixes that pragmatic style with insight, understanding, wisdom, philosophy and curiosity that enable those that work with him to see the whole picture of their lives and careers. This allows the individual to attain new levels of satisfaction and performance in all areas of their life including their professions.
